Dr Nik Bhandari

Dr Bhandari is a neuro-psychiatrist and Member of Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK with more than 15 years of experience of working in NHS. In 2014, he completed his specialist training in Old Age Psychiatry and later in the year was awarded Distinction in MSc Clinical Neuropsychiatry.
During his career, Dr Bhandari has regularly received complements from patients and carers for his ability to empathise with them, understand their concerns and develop a structured, evidence-based, treatment plan to manage their illness.

Dr. Bhandari has good leadership skills including managing, developing and motivating teams to achieve their objectives. He was awarded “Innovation prize” by the South-West division of Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK in 2012. In 2018 and again in 2021, he was awarded Clinical Excellence Awards for recognition of his contribution towards the delivery of safe and high-quality care to patients.
Dr Bhandari has been involved in several research projects in the last 10 years. As Chief Investigator (UK) for a Phase II trial and Principal Investigator for two Phase III trials, he led cutting-edge research for development of disease-modifying treatments for Dementia patients.
Dr Bhandari works as Consultant Psychiatrist for a community mental health team. In his daily work, he treats patients suffering from neurocognitive disorders, such as Dementia, Delirium, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s psychosis, besides functional mental health problems, such as Depression, Anxiety and Psychotic illnesses
